it is gratifying to be part of a business that serves both individuals and the community by providing lasting, beautiful design solutions.

Because she believes that safe, affordable housing is a human right, Debbie worked for a Minneapolis non-profit housing developer for eight years.  Soon after moving to Duluth, when her second daughter was born with health concerns, Debbie became a stay-home mom.

She continued her commitment to community development and affordable housing by volunteering at Duluth LISC and serving on the Center City Housing board of directors.  In 2006, Debbie joined Wagner Zaun Architecture as office manager.

Debbie voices her admiration for the way we at Wagner Zaun engage clients in the process of design; really, though, this engagement often begins with her. Debbie is usually the first voice you hear when you call or the first person you meet when you visit the office and the warmth of her greeting sets the tone.

It is rewarding for Debbie to work at Wagner Zaun Architecture, because she has always felt that our built environment, when designed with care, can be a source of comfort and can create community. Debbie keeps the office running smoothly but more importantly, she keeps care and community front and center.
