“Architecture should make things better. It’s that simple.”

People live and work surrounded by architecture. To make sure they enjoy it, Doug takes the experience of his clients, combines it with his 28 years of design expertise, and creates meaningful, innovative and cost effective structures.

Doug’s highest priorities are listening to his clients and including them in the design. He believes that architecture should not be the product of a single individual, but should be the expression of the collective efforts of the clients and their architect.

To him, every project is an exciting opportunity to collect information, define goals, and transform ideas into physical space.

Architecture should help your home or business operate efficiently. It should improve your life and make you feel comfortable and secure. Doug works hard to achieve these ends, and as a co-owner, it is his job to ensure that your project meets your needs and results in a beautiful, functional, cost effective structure.

In addition to designing single-family homes, many of which have been featured in regional and national publications, Doug has extensive experience in complex commercial projects, including office environments, hotels and restaurants. He has focused in particular on affordable housing, and has created and remodeled hundreds of safe, comfortable and affordable single family homes and apartments.
