The Steve O’Neil Apartments holds 44 units of supportive housing for homeless families. In addition to one, two, and three bedroom apartments, it has a 6 unit overnight emergency family shelter, staff offices, and a community gathering space.

The project was developed through a partnership of local nonprofit housing providers. The mission of this 12.8 million dollar multi-family housing project was to “end the cycle of homelessness and poverty by supporting parents and children to build healthy, strong and stable families” by providing those in need with a clean, healthy and safe place to live.

The Steve O’Neil Apartments was built with efficiency in mind. The building has low operating costs which will help to ensure affordability for tenants for years to come. This building has earned the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency’s ENERGY STAR certification; the first multi-family Minnesota housing project to achieve this.
