Doug Zaun
Doug Zaun has been creating and crafting design solutions for over 20 years. He has extensive residential experience in housing and working with community and social service organizations. He has designed and managed projects up to $15,000,000 in construction value.
Doug believes that each project should reflect the personality of the individual or organization that it is designed for. In addition each project should respond directly and uniquely to its site, its context and the functional and economic requirements of the client. All this is best accomplished after 10am with good coffee, communication and collaboration.
His best thinking is done while doing the dishes, often his only chance of refuge within his busy household. He is married and has two young sons.
Doug received his architectural degree from North Dakota State University in a WWII metal Quonset hut, an architectural influence that is not evident in his work.
